Street-approved. Trail tested. Built at the intersection of road and trail, the Challenger 7 ATR GTX has been completely reimagined from the ground up. Combining a simplified mesh upper with a soft new foam, Hoka increased the stack height for a plusher feel and added proprietary rubber to the bottom unit, along with a reimagined outsole design for the best all-terrain ride yet. Lighter than the last iteration, weve increased the stack height for added cushion and fine-tuned our lug pattern for enhanced traction.
Inspired by gravel tires, Hoka cued up smaller, tightly spaced lugs in center and larger, more aggressive lugs at the perimeter designed for improved traction on uneven terrain. Now you'll be ready for all weather conditions with a GORE-TEX enhanced upper.
- Gore-Tex enhanced upper - ensures the shoe stays dry and mudproof, regardless of the weather conditions.
- Compression molded EVA foam midsole - provides excellent cushioning and protection during your runs, no matter the type of run. The material of CMEVA is reactive and ensures a high level of comfort.
- Engineered mesh upper - provides breathability and comfort while running.
- Extended heel pull - reinforcement has been added to the bottom of the heel cup, while the upper remains flexible, soft and comfortable, so that your heel bone is not put under pressure.
- Durabrasion rubber outsole - has a coarse profile for a lot of grip on all types of surfaces. Zones of abrasion rubber have been added to the heel and forefoot for improved durability.
- 4mm lugs - provides efficient geometry of the outsole to ensure inherent stability and an efficient stride.
